Our firm originated in the 1960s, when William Esseks and Marcia Hefter both began practicing law from the firm’s current Main Street office in Riverhead. Stephen Angel joined the firm in 1975 and has been lead counsel in a number of noteworthy cases over four decades. Carmela Di Talia joined the firm in 1995 and now leads its real estate, estate planning/administration, and corporate practice groups. Anthony Pasca brought his extensive appellate experience to the firm in 1998 and leads the firm’s litigation and land use practice groups.  In 2021, James Spiess and McNulty-Spiess, P.C., formally associated with the firm as “of counsel,” bringing their considerable experience in Surrogate’s Court, commercial and real estate litigation.  The firm now includes 12 lawyers, making it one of the largest general practice law firms on Eastern Long Island.
